Thanks for the info! What reel/line did you pair your fury with? Are the Aird-X rods balanced/lightweight compared to other rods you've owned?

Right now I'm in the market for a budget spinning rod. I'm hoping to take advantage of the black Friday sales. I can't decide between a 7 foot medium and a medium light but I plan to use it mainly for throwing drop shots and smaller swimbaits like keitechs. I think I'm leaning towards the medium light. I'm looking at the Dobyns Fury series, Dobyns Colt series, and Daiwa Aird x series. I have a dobyns fury casting rid and I really like it but I'm not sure how good the spinning rods are. Does anybody know how the Colt compares to the fury? What kind of recommendations would you guys have?
