Thanks for all the replies! I called them and verified what others have stated. When you pay the replacement + shipping fees, the new rod comes with the same lifetime warranty!

I've been fishing with ulgy sticks my whole life and finally have some money to get into a nicer rod reel setup. I'm sold on the dobyn's line, looking at the champ or champ extreme. I like the lifetime warranty and that it is $80 + shipping to replace the rod if I break it. What I'm curious about is if I own this rod for 20 years, will they replace it for $80 every time it breaks or just once? I'm usually pretty great with not messing up my gear, but I am guessing these rods are a bit more sensitive to getting knocked around then my ugly stick. Not planning on breaking rods, just want to know what I'm getting into. I emailed Dobyns a couple weeks back and haven't heard from them.
