I have caught some of my biggest bass on jigs in stained east Texas water, and I would use a black and blue jig with a kicking trailer. my rule of thumb is if you are fishing muddy or stained water, use dark baits for bottom contact and light colored moving baits. Hope this helps and tight lines!
