I fish out of a 21 foot skeeter. Im a lifetime bass fisherman(mainly smaller lakes) but have just moved to a 20,000 acre lake with my first real bass boat with all the electronics etc... I'm using my Garmin Livescope quite often now to locate big fish. One problem I've been trying to solve is fishing offshore using my live scope in wind. Since my live scope transducer is mounted on my trolling motor I have found it difficult to "stay on" the structure or the fish in a wind with the Garmin. Since spot lock keeps me there but renders my live scope vision useless, has anyone ever heard of using power pole drift paddles to slow you down while still being able to "aim" your live scope at the target? seems like that would work on windy days. Anyone have an opinion on this, or has anyone ever done this themselves? thanks!
