casting rod for assembly texas, carolina etc
Well, thinking about it, maybe it's worth it. The problem is that on March 27 I am going on a fishing trip and I want the equipment before. I don't know if it will arrive on time.. I'm going to look at it. Anyway, thank you very much Tomás, the help is appreciated!

casting rod for assembly texas, carolina etc
I think the mojo bass can be too rigid and also many people say that it feels heavy at the tip, I think that this rod must be leveled very well with the reel so that it is well balanced, this was my favorite for the price and because it came to use a st croix avid and I love the sensitivity it has, the thing is that the avid I have is an M extra fast and it cannot be compared. The equipment I have right now is a st croix avid 6'8" M extra fast with a shimano stradic 2500 for finesse and top fishing, this works great but for texas sometimes it falls short... That's why the next equipment I want I need to be more powerful to work more "heavy" texas mounts (I don't think it casts more than 20-25 grams) but not too much either, maybe the H's are too powerful except for the Dobyns fury 73 H fast model (here my doubt is if I will notice much the difference in sensitivity with the avid... I imagine so) How are Fury Dobyns different from Sierra Dobyns? Greetings!

casting rod for assembly texas, carolina etc
Thanks Brian! In principle, this model fits well to what I want to use, but Falcon is not here in Spain, it will be complicated. I'm seriously considering the St croix Victory VTC 71" MHF, it sounds delicious to play with texas. But it is an expensive toy... around 260 euros

Thanks for the input Thomas! I did not know the victory series and it looks very good... the weight range would be perfect and it looks very light, but it is out of my budget. 300-350 would be for the complete rod and reel combo.

casting rod for assembly texas, carolina etc
Hey guys, I'm looking for a casting rod and reel to work on texas mount vinyl, especially downstream fishing. I was thinking of a rod about 7 inches of good power (MH or H?), fast action and range between 1/4 and 1 ounce lure weight or so. I have been looking at several models and I have many doubts, especially in sensitivity and action at the tip for this technique. I have a total budget for the combo of about 300 350. St croix mojo bass 7" MH Dobyns fury 7'3" H Any advice apart from these models? Thank you very much and apologies for the translation from Spanish to English.
