  1. There’s a lot of really good info here and I appreciate it all. I’m gonna take some time and go through everything and try stuff one by one and see what I like/what works best for me. I did go out the other day and got my first bass of the year on a Spro RK55 in Blood Craw color. Water temp was 55 degrees and I caught at the start of a cove off a main point. Water temp has probably went down since this cold front moved in yesterday and it snowed today. the lake I fish at is Laurel River Lake if anyone wants to look it up.
  2. Where would I want to start with the mentioned baits? Points? Beginning of cover? Shorelines? Any certain things I’m looking for on structure? Any colors for the pit boss? Texas rig it? I wish that was the case. Haha. I buy all my stuff on Klarna with the 4 payment plan thing. 92 bucks every 2 weeks for an Orochi isnt to bad.

  4. Hi everyone. I’m 38 years old and just now coming to the party. I’ve just recently gotten into bass fishing and I’m looking to see what are the mainstay lures I should have in my tackle box. I fished last year with a friend on his boat a few times, and we mainly just used poppers in the spring then went to jigs and Texas rigs. That’s all my friend uses and I’m wanting to broaden my horizons. Over the winter I’ve acquired new poles after my wife generously closed all my rods up in the garage door and broke them in half. So I have a Megabass Orochi XXX Jerkbait special, Orochi Xx Flatside Special, Destroyer P5 X Bites and a Dobyns 765 flipping/pitching rod. I have a small amount of baits, mainly just have top water and soft plastics. What would be a good start on lures and colors that would compliment my rods? The lake I normally fish in is a Highland reservoir with little to no shallow areas, gin clear most of the days and no vegetation. I’m wanting to try a little bit of everything to see what I like and what I don’t like. thanks for your time
