  1. I will only be using a 100Ah lithium, for trolling motor only.(NO gas engines on lake) So maybe a small additional lithium for the Garmin and lights which I may add in the future would solve any potential issues. Once again a HUGE Thank you, to all that reply. ??
  2. I was convinced yesterday to let it be, but knowing separating the upper and lower is possible I just can’t decide. I could fix the dent properly, add some wiring, outlets, lights, recessed rod holders, additional supports for future mods and installations. Before tackling the major task reassembly. I know many of you have done all this without hull separation, but the thought of doing all of this in a clean factory look is intriguing to me…
  3. So many great suggestions,,, You convinced me to keep it in one piece.??
  4. Hello all, would like your advice on if a separate battery should be used on my soon to be arriving father’s day gift a Garmin Striker Vivid 4CV ? Can I power this off the trolling motor battery ? Or should I use a separate battery ? If so what Ah would be suitable for about 8 hrs use prior to recharging. Once again ,Thank You for the knowledge and time it takes to answer my questions.
  5. Thanks as I said it is brand new, maybe I should just use it and not abuse it… Thank you
  6. That’s what I am trying to convince myself of,,, But dissecting this thing is very tempting.
  7. Not my boat and not a Professional edit but hopefully this may help
  8. Thank you all for the helpful, friendly advice.
  9. I came across a NEW Pelican 10E for a , it “fell off the truck”price. problem is it literally fell off a truck. Any ideas on removing a dent in the lower right pontoon? From what I read here separating the two halves is not recommended, but the thought of having the halves separated seems like the perfect time to repair the dent and perform some hidden mods. Any help you knowledgeable folks have prior to me ruining a new, slightly dented boat would be much appreciated. Quote
  10. Couldn’t say no, I came across a new Pelican 10E, that “fell off the truck” problem is it literally fell off a truck. Any ideas on removing a dent in the lower right pontoon? From what i read separating the two halves is not recommended, but the thought of having the halves separated fills my head with so many “that would be handy” ideas. Any help prior to me ruining a new, slightly dented boat would be appreciated.
  11. Thank you to all of you for the information. I really think something less then 100Ah will meet my needs. Does anyone have any brand preference ?
  12. Thank you, that answered many questions. I would hate to spend the money on a lithium and after the first day on the lake regret my foolish decision.
  13. Hello again. Not really concerned with longevity in years regarding warranty. Basically want to know what lightweight battery will give 3 hrs max trolling time. With the 10 foot bass raider and Minnkota 36 lb. motor.
  14. How long they last while fishing
  15. Hello all, looking for some real world advice. Need to replace my trolling motor battery. Looking for one 12 V battery for my 35 lb Minkota used on a Pelican bass raider. Question is ,I am confused on the lithium battery literature regarding how much longer they last. Is that the time you can use it trolling or the time they last as in longevity of the product? One company rep suggested I purchase their 54Ah. Does this sound reasonable. Thanx
