  1. Sweet! power queen it is, looked decent enough and best bang for buck was just skeptical about its longevity/ reliability. Having to buy a charger separate is less than ideal but it is what it is. Thanks for your help and nice fish!
  2. Don't want to spend more than 200 but lithium sounds like the ticket, would rather not drag around unnecessary weight of lead acid. Not planning to use it a bunch but just to get to the middle of the lake to fish the islands, 400yds (docks and banks by a private b&b) then getting around in a 100yd circle or so, and back to dock. or to get downstream a couple miles and troll for an hour or 2 mid speed on a pretty calm river. High speed for an hour total maybe. What I'm gathering is 50ah should suffice but 100 is preferable. Probably gonna just order 2 over time like I said to the other guy. Have any experience with "power queen" batteries? yeah that's my thinking with a 50ah, don't want to be worried about running out. Budget only allows for so much though and I'm only adding weight, getting about the same use out of a 100 lead as a 50 lithium. decisions... what brand battery are you using?
  3. sounds like most everyone here thinks 50, I had the same idea to just order one and push it, if I needed more just order another. with about a $200 budget I think that's best anyway so I don't have to swing extra. Haven't seen many brand suggestions, What are you using?
  4. Hey y'all, been a while since I've posted. Last time i was in florida, I'm now back up north with a canoe rig for smallies. Anyway, picked up an endura 30 to scoot around the local river/ lake with my nephew. Battery is next, I've seen a lot of guys using lithium, some lead acid and everything from 40-100ah. what size/ type battery do I need? 17ft fiberglass sears, 350ish with gear. Need a solid couple hours of use either well trolling or getting to and from dock to spot.
  5. provoke 106x in shad hammer and the kvd ones have been pretty solid performers for me too. when sizing down that small i usually just switch to a rapala original or countdown.
  6. I’m really hoping someone can help me fix my brand new reel. I picked up a shimano sienna 2500 a while back, let it sit in my desk and today i decided to put it back on one of my rods. i made the mistake of running my line through the guides before under the wire, this is where i messed up. i thought “well instead of cutting my knot and starting over i took off one side of the bail and apparently it was the wrong one. (i know it was stupid) but now i have a long black plastic piece that came out from next to a spring. shimano doesn’t have a manual on their site, i have no receipts or packaging so i’m relying on someone’s know how. it’s too long to lay right across, when i insert it into the spring i can see or down in what looks like the only logical position the bail won’t trip down. help, anyone!
  7. maybe it’s just bad luck, i know some will get damaged while on the way to the store/ being stocked. i’m not too hard on my rods i don’t think.
  8. looks like i may be ordering one tonight.
  9. highly debating ordering one right now for $100, nervous it’s going to be less tough than i need though. can you say with confidence it won’t pull a st.croix on me? ?
  10. i returned both rods to bass pro and got my cash back. that 703sf is what snapped on a hookset. i’ve heard those are good rods. you don’t find yourself having to be especially mindful of angle. i think that’s one of my biggest issues with higher-end blanks. that was meant to be a question with angle haha
  11. So i’m sure this has been talked about before but i’m hoping someone could be some help. I’m in the market for an all purpose medium spinning rod, mostly for flukes and wacky senkos. other uses would be an occasional ned, shakyhead, in-line spinners/ 1/4oz spinnerbaits and small crankbaits. I had a st.croix triumph 7’mf and didn’t care for the lack of sensitivity, moved on to a mojo bass 6’8 mxf and the tip snapped putting line on… I decided to switch to a dobyns fury 7’mf and it also snapped 2/3 way up on a hookset. I like sixgills but find them heavy. any suggestions for something versatile with a little backbone that isn’t fragile? i prefer a medium under 7’1. getting tired of wasting money.
  12. $150ish but id prefer to keep it around $125 i may have a rod like that kicking around but it’s very soft with not too much backbone.
  13. What are y’all using for finesse rods? Im a power fisherman mainly but i wanted to give shakey heads, ned rigs, dropshots a try. I know spinning rods seem to be the choice of many. not really interested in bfs. also wondering if that same spinning rod would be suitable for 1/4oz jigs. suggestions?
  14. Hey everyone i’m looking to try out a couple of the 6th sense lures but there are so many colors i don’t know where to start. looking at the crush 50x and curve finesse. if y’all had to pick only 2 or 3 colors for semi stained to muddy water what would they be? also what else would y’all recommend from them? which lipless? any topwaters? i know this is a super broad post but i appreciate any help!
