  1. Thanks for the reply I really appreciate and sorry about not typing back quickly I’ve been very busy lately
  2. Thanks for all the responses
  3. As the title says I’m going to get a new setup but not sure what to gear it towards( lipless cranks squarebills deep cranks flipping rod?) I usually fish ponds or lakes from the bank and sometimes have access to a boat. I have a spinner bait rod a jig/t rig rod and a medium I use for whatever really. So my question is what should I add to my arsenal?
  4. In your opinion what is the best reel under the $200 dollar price point. I’m thinking about getting another reel and was thinking about the slx dc but I’ve heard mixed reviews about them. Thanks
  5. Thats the reel I put on my rod as well... so far I am liking my falcon but have not used it that much
  6. I ended up ordering the cara head turner... I know it isn't the finnesse jig rod but could tell you how good it is when I get it tomorrow... fedex like normal is never on time
  7. I never thought about calling them up... I think I will do that. thanks man
  8. I might go with the expert just because it is a little cheaper...Have you tried the bucoos or the lowrider? I have heard they are great rods for the money.
  9. I know what you mean... I was just wondering if its worth it to get the cara or if I should get the expert
  10. Can you tell a difference in terms of like sensitivy between the expert and the cara?
  11. What are the other falcon rods you have I was wondering how sensitive they were... thats good to know they compare with the glx rods in term of sensitiveity I think i am going to get a falcon. thanks for the reply
  12. I was thinking the medium cranker falcon cara
  13. Thanks for the replies... I think I am going to go with the falcon
  14. I am going to get a new rod and I can't decide which one to get. They are the same price at 250 dollars. Which do you think is the better rod?
  15. Would yo zuri hybrid be good line for backing
  16. I will probably end up putting braid on for the jig rod... should I use backing for the braid or just straight braid
  17. do you consider yo zuri to be high quality I think I might be going to go with yo zuri but I can not decide between that or invizx
  18. Do you use yo zuri hybrid for any other lures
  19. W What do you use for lipless cranks
  20. Thanks for the replies! I know this is probably meant for a seperate post but what line would you use for spinners and chatterbaits? I was thinking Invizx or yo zuri hybrid because i have heard a lot about it...
  21. Okay, thanks for the reply. Of those rods which would you throw a chatterbait/spinnerbait on
  22. I apologize if this isn’t the correct forum for this but I’m wondering what I should use each of my rods for. I currently have a 7’0 medium heavy fast I was thinking about using for jigs and Texas rigs and probably Carolina rigs. I also have a 6’6 medium heavy fast and a 6’6 medium fast rod. I just ordered some reels and I have a 8.1:1 and a 6.6:1 and a 6.4:1 without and line on them. I would like to throw Chatterbaits and spinnerbaits and crank baits. If any of the rods I have won’t work well for those lures I’m still debating about getting another rod and reel. Back to my original question… what lures would work on those rods I said I have? Thanks
  23. I will probably be buying those fuegos soon. For this setup I’m not really sure what I would want to use it for. There’s so many different options I’m really overthinking it. I was thinking maybe like a crank bait rod or if you have a recommendation for a setup to use. I don’t want to buy a combo I would want to buy the rod and reel separately. I normally fish in stained water with about a foot of visibility and normally fishing from the bank. Sometimes I’m in a small jon boat though.
  24. Thanks for the really good answer. I can cast a bait caster decently but sometimes I still get backlashes. Current in my 6 speed reel I have 30 pound on it but I will change it out for some mono. I’m also thinking about getting another setup in addition to those reels. If you wouldn’t mind could you recommend some good rod and reel gear ratio and power for a more specialized setup. I know that’s probably a lot but I didn’t know how else to put it. I just checked academy’s website and the cheapest fuego I found was $80. I wouldn’t mind spending at or around $100.
