Yes I know pike will vaporize me in no time! I might go back to braid but need to learn those knots! Good word about reeling lighter baits on a slack line!!! As I was reeling in my senko drop shot rig I wasn’t having any trouble casting so far

One thing I just learned is that the north 40 stores here in idaho have their own swait brand rods they have that line clip at the rod butt makes it nice to slip the line just above the drop shot weight into the clip. I like that but I think they make those plastic parts that does the same thing right? I’ve never used one the Falcon rod doesn’t have it but it’s not that big of deal. The Fenwick hmg looks to have it but in front of the reel seat. Wow tackle whose has it all. I just got my 31.00 order last eeek. I mean behind the seat xcab. Sometimes I’ll put them in the bed but only to fish within 20 min as my spots are close. Mostly inside the apt or in xtra cab

Anyone like or use Falcon spinning rods? I need a new bass rod under 100. I’m also looking at Fenwick, Okuma. I’m only have 1 spin rod and it’s a 9’4 steelhead so I’m gonna buy a bass rod. I’ll be throwing top water for now, or spinnerbaits, neg rig at the docks and jetty. No longer have a boat. Thanks

I’m starting over with bass, it’s been since 2001 before I moved to Alaska Sure it’s the 10,th thousand time but I’m going to the store to put new line on my spinning reel president XT, I had braid power pro and it casted just fine but with my rod in the truck driving around for a few days the d**n braid got totally knotted up at my tip guide. Unbelievable! It was just unbelievable!!! I was frustrated as heck trying to get started with my fishing and I finally had to get mysizzors to cut the crap off! Right then I knew I needed to just go back home lol so I said screw it and had the darn stuff taken off the reel. I’m after fluero or mono that won’t coil too much! Thanks very much

I’m starting all over with bass. I have just 1 nice new crank bait casting rod and reel and I fly fish but right now Im stuck with using my Lamiglas 9’4 fast action med steelhead rod. What are the cons of using the 9’4 besides weight? Can I continue using it for spinner baits, jerkbaits, I guess it will do for now! Any suggestions on a good bass spinning rod under 100 bucks? Thank you
