  1. I do the EXACT same thing. Now, one thing Roland does is he gets a black magic marker and colors the last few feet with it. ?
  2. Man, I'm glad my search, "Can you use straight braid to fish?" brought me here. I'm a beginner, well, not quite, I used to love to fish but haven't been fishing in over 30 years. I promised God I would NEVER say, "I don't have time" ever again. Spent a small fortune on all new gear (top-of-the-line, flagship stuff, lol). Didn't know you could spend so much on rods, reels, and even lures (20 bucks for a lure, are you kidding me? lol). Anyway, I thought, "man, I gotta tie leaders?" So, I thought I would check to see if that's absolutely necessary. Glad to find out it is not. Anyway, take care guys and happy fishing. ? I watched a Roland Martin video recently and he is a proponent of straight braid.
