  2. Shimano SLX rod?

    I normally buy/use St. Croix rods. But I figured I try out a SLX spinning rod. I use Shimano reels which I am very satisfied. Not so my SLXS70MX2 tip broke off after casting for 1/2 hour. I had 10 lb mono and the lure was a hula-popper. From what I read Shimano rod customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
