  1. Yeah I did that but I am having trouble keeping it in place. I put it in and then tried spinning my reel and the spring flew out lol. Do I have to put it all together before touching anything? Thanks! It’s a dobyns 2500 spinning reel. I can take a pic of the schematic when I get home
  2. My spinning reel makes a clicking noise at the lowest and highest points when my spool goes up and down. I saw on another thread that its from an screw on this oscillating piece that is loose, so I tried tightening it and turns out it was tight, so I don't even know why its clicking but anyways when trying to put it back together I had this spring that I needed to put in place and I cant get it into place and I just want to know if anyone knows how to do it. I even bent the spring trying to put it back into place. I somehow always try fixing something little and I make it way worse. The spring is highlighted in the photo and the area it needs to go has an arrow pointing towards it.
  3. Yeah I bet they would be, I just don’t have $200 laying around Ok thank you, the only problem is that I don’t have outdoor markets where I live
  4. Thank you! Test them as in by going to a store or by buying cheap ones first? Thanks!
  5. I want to get new glasses because the ones I have I now are more for like bright open waters like the ocean. I want to get copper or amber colored lenses but I am not sure if I should get mirroring with them or not. Thanks!
  6. Well I mean I like to try and figure stuff out and do it by myself if I can. The only problem is that I lose all the parts lol Exactly, I like to learn stuff instead of having someone do it all for me. I like to learn for myself
  7. On my reel it actually doesn’t matter which direction the piece is. But I found the problem, the problem was this piece there that I have highlighted it was backwards I think so it made it so the gear that sits on it that won’t go down all the way. I flipped it and pushed the gear down all the way and now it works. Like a washer that goes after the drag washers on the outside of the side plate?
  8. my handle just turns and accomplishes nothing. No the drag is tight my drag is tight and there is no line on it Yeah it clicks down and back up so its not that. I have taken apart my reels before and I have no clue why its doing it. Yeah I have heard of that before but I don't have line on this reel. Also have you tried using electrical tape as backing? I usually use that and I have no problems. oh ok, let me try that. Thanks!
  9. On my bait caster the line spool won't rotate to reel in the line and it also can move in both directions if I move it manually with my hand. The anti reverse works on my handle though so its really weird. Thanks in advance for the help!
  10. Why do bass like those transition areas? Thanks for the help!
  11. I have heard that bass don't like the muddy ground. Why is this? Thanks!
  12. I have been wondering for some time, but how do you choose what baits to throw? Besides like the obvious that you don’t want to throw big trebles hooks in grass and stuff like that. But like for example, there is hundreds of finesse baits for all sorts of different structure. Show how do you choose for example what finesse bait to throw in rocks or what bait in general to throw in rocks? sense there is a bunch of baits that work in rocks. Thanks!
  13. Alright, thanks for the help. I will try and go check them out.
  14. alright, its late here so I will have to check that tomorrow. This seems like best case scenario because it seems like an easy fix.
  15. alright, I can definitely test that. I don't think that would be a to long of a fix. and my dad does construction so I am sure he knows how to test that, There is a Ace hardware near our place we are staying so I can see if they have one. So I need to disconnect them out of their series to do that right? Thanks!
  16. yeah, I think it could be our batteries. We haven't tried using different ones because we got these when my dad bought this boat. So it could be them. Alright, The funny thing is. We had a big trolling motor but my dad sold it because it was "To big". And yeah it is 21 foot fiberglass. I will have to just suffer until we get back I guess. Unless there is something I can do while I am here. Maybe if there is a frayed wire. I can try looking tomorrow for fraying.
  17. yeah, We go faster with different water conditions but with 2 batteries hooked together, It should be going longer. I have group 24 so idk how much of a difference that makes, Our motors are the same though. This doesn't make sense, I mean we have a 21 foot boat idk if that would change it a lot.
  18. oh that's where my problem is, I mean I run it at 1 speed in turtle mode, not sure what percent that is. But sometimes to get out of stuff or to fight wind, we will turn it up.
  19. just a basic motorguide with 70 lbs thrust nothing special oh, The problem is, we bought these in washington because that's where I live but I am in Wisconsin right now for my national tournament. Are the batteries you have lithium batteries? Thanks!
  20. ok, My dad said they are brand new and were purchased 1 month ago and they are the same model. I mean we don't go fishing everyday so no we do wait a couple of days before using the boat, but we do charge them as soon as we get home. We have been on the boat with the new batteries probably 10 times and I think we have dropped them below that every time. The AH rating on the batteries are 81. I attached a photo that tells about the batteries more, idk that much about batteries. Thanks for the help!
  21. I do fishing tournaments so my batteries lasting long is important to me, and I have a nationals tournament for high school this Wednesday and my boat batteries are hardly lasting 5 hours. I have 3 12v interstate deep cycle batteries 1 for cranking battery and my fish finders and 2 ran in series to make 24 volts for our 24 volt trolling motor. I just don't know why they aren't lasting long when they are both just for a trolling motor. I have seen professionals and there batteries lasting them all day on the water perfectly fine with no problem. How can I make mine run longer and work for a 24v motor, I have heard of like running them in parallel, but would that work for a 24v trolling motor? Thanks!
  22. Ok I will check him out, thanks!
  23. I am fishing the high school National tournament in la Crosse Wisconsin on the Mississippi River, and I am wondering if anyone knows if there is Shad up here or what the bass are feeding on up here? Thanks!
  24. ok this helps, Thanks! ok thanks for the help! Thanks Tom!
  25. Ok this makes sense. I get confused because I see so many videos that say “if it gets hard to catch fish then throw this” and so I don’t know what to throw out of those ?. Thanks! Ok got it I guess I will buy a couple different kinds so I can try different colors of each of the baits. Thanks!
