  4. Hi everyone, I currently have my transom mounted trolling motor hooked up. The issue I have is there is no OFF switch to the trolling motor. The only way to turn it off is to turn the handle. My issue with this is if I am working on the trolling motor (example: getting weeds off propeller) there is nothing stopping this from turning back on if the handle accidentally gets hit and turns to on position. Does anyone know of a way to have a master turn off switch to this? Or is it safe to disconnect the black wire from the battery whenever I need to pull up the motor? Thanks!
