  1. Ok thanks! Unfortunately I cannot buy anything right now, I just figured out the gears in my steelhead reel are grinding, I need to return it and buy a better one so that will take a good chunk of the money I was going to use on a second bass rod.
  2. Ok thanks! Would about 15 lb or 17 lb fluorocarbon be good line for a general purpose rod since I have braid on the Ugly Stik?
  3. I have a 6'6" Ugly Stik GX2 it is a MH but doesnt say action on the rod, if I had to guess I'd say its a moderate fast, it has 40# braid. I want to buy another rod but I don't know what to get that would be super versatile but not do the same stuff as the one I have. And what line would be best for my needs. Thanks! p.s. I also have a M spinning rod for drop shots and weightless soft plastics.
  4. Ok, I think I'll go with the daiwa tatula then. Thanks!
  5. Ok! Thanks
  6. How old is that reel
  7. What are some spinning options? Reels seem to be cheaper.
  8. Thanks, thats good advice. I think I will wait. MidwayUSA has a Daiwa tatula for $70 instead of $100 right now if you think thats a better deal than what I would find for labor day.
  9. Yeah, im kinda leaning toward the Daiwa, even more towards a 13fishing defy black.
  10. Someone recommended a 13fishing defy black, do you know much about those? He said he really likes it.
  11. Would a 13fishing Defy black rod paired with a Daiwa cc80 reel be good?
  12. Ok, would you recommend going with something cheaper and getting an upgrade later, or going with a good set up right away? Its on sale for $60 something on midwayusa right now, that might be last years model.
  13. Thanks guys! If this helps any (probably should have said this earlier) I'm mostly going to be using soft plastics, so which of all the rods you all have listed is best for those?
  14. Is it a better option than the Defy Black. Not the AIRD-X
