Thanks for all the welcomes, sometimes the world ends up being a lot smaller place than we think. Ol'crickety, some of those adventures sound amazing. To answer your question, there's plenty of largemouth and smallmouth around, although it's a pretty pressured area. There's way too many pike around, to the point I'm trying a tieable single strand leader for jerkbaits and chatterbaits, they've stolen quite a few from me.?

Long time lurker here, finally decided to jump in. This board has provided a ton of useful information. I fished routinely with my dad growing up, but took a long hiatus. I picked it up again after scheduling a Canadian outpost trip a couple years ago and have been spending more and more time (and money) getting into bass fishing since. Bought a kayak in 2020 and have it just about decked out like I'd like, enjoying the shallow water spots around the Mississippi on pools 7 & 8.
