  1. If you want to repair the reel seat, you could drill a couple of holes in the reel seat where the reel sits (this way it's covered when the reel is installed). You have to be careful not to drill to deep and damage the blank and you can inject epoxy into the holes and let it set up. This technique doesn't always work as some of the reel seats are installed with a solid foam arbor and you can't get the epoxy down to the blank. If the reel seat was installed with tape bushings you would be fine. As stated before your best bet would be to send it back to Loomis and have the rod replaced.
