  1. Hey all, I'm considering buying a 7'6" Eyecon for smallmouth fishing on big water specifically Grand Traverse Bay, and St.Clair. I'm thinking I would use it for ned rigs and occasionally hair jigs when the opportunity presents itself. I think the length would help me really get that bait out there, and the weight is advertised as 1/8-3/8, perfect for my hair jigs and ned rigs. With all this said, I would appreciate any input or other suggestions. For reference the top end of my price range is $220 my other spinning rod is a 7' L Zodias which I use mostly for dropshots. Thanks in advance, MR. Fisherman
  2. I was wondering if any of you guys and gals had suggestions for tournament trails in the west Michigan area. Whether that be individual tournaments or trails, I'm looking to get into tournaments with my friend and we're looking for good events to fish. Any information would be great, thanks!
  3. Thank you guys for the affirmation, I took a fairly significant financial leap for a college student, and wanted to make sure the new rod, reel and baits were actually going to produce. Guess I'll just keep throwing it and wait for the bite to tell me what they like.
  4. I guess it should also be noted I fish for largemouth often, and smallmouth when I can find them.
  5. Hello all, I'm what people's experiences have been like regarding swimbait fishing (6-8 inch baits more or less). I want to get more into it, but I'm afraid I live a little too north to be around big swimbait eating bass. Any knowledge would be much appreciated, Tight lines, Marinus
