Looked all over the internet for this. Hoping it helps someone else. Couldn’t find it in any forum.I’ve had my carbonlite for nearly a year and it has casted extremely short the entire time. I could t figure out why. I started to think it just sucked and was trash quality. I had the tension down and the magnetic breaks at 0. Thing could go only about 50 feet. I never had backlashes no matter how hard I cast but no distance. I searched forums and YouTube and couldn’t find anything. I took my whole reel apart and oiled and greased everything. Still no luck. Finally I read the manual to learn more about the dual breaking system. Although I looked for centrifugal breaks, I didn’t find any and I knew it had magnetic. The dual system is both centrifuge and magnet. Under the palm plate there are levers/tabs to adjust the breaks being engaged or not. They are extremely small and not marked at all. This made all the difference. This combo is literally posted on the FB marketplace right now because I was fed up with it. I can’t express the level of relief and frustration I feel right now. How did I not figure this out sooner!? Hopefully my stupidity and discovery can help someone else.
