I have the cellblok switchblade combo as well and it works fine if you have the rails in the right spot. Assembly kind of sucks because they give you pretty bad instructions but one thing to watch out for is that if you have the transducer in line with your drive/propellors it will show up on side imaging and dampen image.

Summer is probably going to be just fishing the shallow lay downs and grass edges. Generally want to be above the thermocline but hard to tell without electronics. I would try going on navionics chart viewer to plan if you were making one.

Second what others are saying, susky seems to be more consistent for me.. just have to be really careful as parts of the river get really shallow.
