  1. I'm not really on a strict budget, but would probably stick to the $100 to $150 per rod range.

  3. I'm looking to purchase a few new rods and am curious to opinions on the Carbonlite 2.0 series vs the St. Croix Triumph vs Fenwick HMG series of rods. Not any specific model, just the rod quality in general. I've never owned the Carbonlite rods, but like the warranty and hear good things about them. I owned a couple St. Croix rods and was happy with them until they were lost in a canoe misshap a number of years ago. I still have a couple of Fenwick HMX rods and like the way the feel, but did have one snap pretty easy on me. Fenwick was great on the warranty issue though.
