  1. Yes, very much. Gotta be from good water, though. I cooked some up from a questionable creek that tasted like Chemlawn.
  2. Drifting walleye rigs on bottom a couple of weeks ago on a big natural lake in northwest Wisconsin, I saw lots of this. I'm assuming clouds of baitfish. What do you guys think? (sorry about the glare) Thanks.
  3. Bloom, we didn't get to the fest this time, been to that several times over the years. We did stop at Trembley's and Anglers' in Hayward. :-)
  4. I fished Grindstone Lake in Northwest Wisconsin last week, with my wife and another couple. Though the lake is familiar to us the fishing was tough. Multiple fronts moved through all week, we fished between rainstorms. We caught enough Rock Bass and panfish for a fish fry at the end of the week. A few Largemouth were caught and released, one on a big Pike bucktail spinner. Other Largemouth bit on an electric blue plastic worm rigged snagless on a Slider head, from a fallen tree. I landed only one, as I'm new to worm fishing. :-) Not a bad trip, really. The old truck and boat ran and trailered well and we all had a nice time.
  5. I bought a Lakemaster Contour Elite program on ebay. After installing on my PC, the activation failed. Apparently the internet connection for this is no longer available. Johnson Outdoors says the product "is no longer supported" I'm sure there's a registry hack or some other workaround, but I'm not sure I can manage...
  6. This has nice contours, but I'm not seeing any lat, longitude when I move the cursor around...
  7. Thanks Guys, I found the Lakemaster ContourElite software for Wisconsin on Ebay. Not sure if I can zero in to lat, longitude for spots, we'll see. :-)
  8. I'd like to find a lake map program for my desktop computer, with good topo detail, allowing latitude and longitude to be shown wherever the cursor rests. There seems to be lots of low grade stuff online. Lakemaster used to have this, but it seems after it was absorbed into Johnson Outdoors, it's all about Humminbird equipment and on the water. Any suggestions?
