  1. Yall having any luck this summer? Haven't tried the missouri yet, but I'll be hitting Perche creek this upcoming weekend. Caught a good 6LB largemouth in Little Dixie during spawn. Caught a beautiful 5 LB largemouth yesterday in one of the lakes in Rocky Fork. Oddly I've been burning a white spinner with literally any bright colored trailer. I have chartreuse craw so I usually use that. Catches me a ton of 1-2 pounders. But this year my watermelon speckled green pumpkin worm with a neon green tail has been destroying the big boys. Especially if there's a cloudy day between 9 am - 3pm. Caught that 5LB around noon. But I did drag him out of the shade around a felled tree.
  2. Today's fishing was so much fun. Traveled to a remote finger lake and fished in the middle of the afternoon. And let me tell you. I fished for maybe 2 hours. Caught 30 bass at least. All of them were over a pound. 3 or 4 over 3 pounds. But this is where it gets fun: (Now please keep in mind this lake has absolutely no fishing pressure. There was zero sign of any human EVER being there, which I'm sure there has been at some point.) I took 4 different types of bait, all plastic. I took a dark green/chartreuse minnow on an 1/8 black jig head, one 7" red/creme worm, one watermelon with red flake dinger worm, and i also took a 3/8 white/chartreuse boo yah spinner bait. All pretty regular, except: i wasn't getting much on the spinner, so I took a 3" chartreuse pumpkin colored pack chunk craw, removed one of the claws and hooked it so the remaining claw was a tail. I caught d**n near every fish today on that setup. And I mean they destroyed it. I never would have thought. Was it the set up or the spot? I guess we will never know.
  3. Going to be doing my first ever smallmouth fishing. Bull shoals lake is huge. Ans from what I hear it's pretty clear. Best lures and colors?
  4. It absolutely is wooden. He repainted it about 8 years before he passed. Thankfully I have a kayak on me at all times. I will never lose it. A lot of you guys are saying they're best at night. How about early early mornings? I'm a 5 am fishing til 930-10 kind of guy. Best lures for the morning? I'm usually fishing in fairly clearish lakes. Most medium sized lakes
  5. As you can tell by the name... Crappie is my Gold. But my Grandpa instilled bass fishing deep into my DNA. I'm newer to the experienced bass fishing. About 7 years in and I gotta tell you... my two favorite lures to use are a Green/chartreuse minnow on a black Jighead during morning and at night? My grandpas Jitterbug. No lure is more fun. And so easy.... so so easy. My son loves watching the bass jump up and smash it! Yalls thoughts on the bug? Whata your go to lures for lakes
  6. I wish I could show you the hog I just pulled out of Little Dixie a couple days a go. 6.5 pound largemouth. She was a hoss
  7. I'm actually thinking of going to try Hazel creek again towards the end of Summer. I've only gone once years ago with no luck. I was just a tadpole back then so hopefully my years of knowledge will help me out lol.
  8. What's up everyone? Names Jordan. Crappie fisherman mainly, but my love for bass fishing continues to flood through me no matter how I try to get away. I stay in Columbia, so if anyone ever wants to throw some lines let me know.
