Appreciate the info. Sounds like Lowrance is rolling out a replacement for the xi3. Those with the minn kota, how do you like it? Heard really good things about the xi3 but not much about the minn kota.

Searching for a motor guide xi3 pinpoint with a 36” shaft and can’t seem to find any new for sale. Does anyone know if these have been discontinued or if they are rolling out a new model? Picking up a native titan x and wanting to throw one on the front.

Appreciate all the advice. I decided to order the dobyns champ. Love it in the flipping stick, so I decided the extra 100 for exactly what I wanted was probably the way to go. If anyone wants a review I’ll test it out this weekend.

Appreciate all the advice. As far as a depth range, probably no deeper than 20’ and I’d say most of it would be in 10-15’. I really like dobyns and think I may just spend the extra on the champion xp 7 6. Eric26- I was looking at okuma on twh. Is the okjma cranking rod for 160 glass? Maybe I read it wrong but it didn’t look like graphite. Or is the glass rod really better for big crank baits? I just have not liked the feel of glass in the past.

I picked up a 7 5 Fenwick, but the reel seat doesn’t seem to work well with the curados I want to use on it. Looking at a dobyns champion cranking rod, but was hoping to not spend 250+. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

Does anyone know of some lakes with a decent amount of vegetation? Been having a good time fishing grass but want to change up the lake. Seems like most of the bigger lakes around kc do not have much grass.

Hey @Bluebasser86 I am curious to hear your thoughts on fishing La Cygne this time of year. Is it worth spending some time on, or do they typically turn off when it gets warmer?
