  1. For anyone that lives in the orlando/ucf area does anyone find it very difficult to catch bass? I go pond hopping to all kinds of different ponds. I throw different patterns and lures and everything. I fish in different weather conditions and time of day and i catch maybe one or two fish every time i go out. Maybe they're pressured or finicky or i don't know. I throw everything that makes sense when i go and choose lures per the water clarity and forage and season. My backup is a weightless pearl fluke and even that doesn't work all the time. Thoughts?
  2. i live in orlando florida and im debating on fishing tomorrow. we're going through a bit of a cold front but not anything more than ten degrees colder at night. it's 48-81 degrees tomorrow. it's been hovering around that area for the last two days. the real cold front probably doesn't hit till friday and it'll be around 47-69 degrees. is it worth going out tomorrow evening ? if not how long should i wait until the bass get active again?
  3. yes but the grass is really overgrown like knee height so i'm not ab to go there and get bit by a snake like it's not maintained at all so it's wild
  4. hi im based out of orlando florida and all the places i fish are 5-10ft deep, muddy bottom, tannic, and lots of vegetation (emergent and submerged). i recently came across this large pond/lake on an abandoned golf course that is clear water, low vegetation and 20-30ft deep. it is also windy all the time there. does anyone have any tips on how i should fish this pond from the shore? i've had mild success with some green pmpkn ned rigs along the shore, but mostly dinks. i've caught one decent bass on a pbj chatterbait and a florida gar on a spinner bait. the fish look very healthy but i have no idea how to catch more.

  6. yes i 100% put it back together correctly i used multiple videos and the schematic well i know i was just doing that so my phone would pick up the audio better. i have spun it slowly and its just more faint. do you think it's gear noise?
  7. i don't know how it says file size is too large
  8. yes and yes. it's not the level wind.
  9. what do you mean adjust spool tension? do you mean the break dial near the drag? and yes the reel makes noise in normal operating position. Once you add the washers back on the reel it starts. It gets slightly worse when you add the drag star and handle on.
  10. no parts were super rusted. Some wd40 and a q-tip took care of most of it. I relubed any parts that i put wd40 on.
  11. is the AR supposed to come out of the reel? mine seems to be stuck in the side plate. I can't upload a video because of the limited file size. I can tell the clicking is happening by turning the drive shaft with my fingers. the clicking is when i turn the reel on the side (with the shaft facing upwards) and rotate the shaft. adding the bearing, washers, spring and drag make the clicking worse. and when you say springs are you talking about the two small springs that go on the clutch cam retainer?
  12. I have tried that, it seems like pressure on the gears and drag washers from above cause the clicking in some way...?
  13. I am servicing an old Shimano Curado K, and as I was reassembling it, it started making a soft clicking noise. Not to the point where it makes the reel unusable, but definitely noticeable. The drag and bail operate properly. (It should be noted that the reel was dropped in water and some parts had to be cleaned of rust.) The noise starts when I put the side plate back on. When the drive shaft is facing downwards, there is no noise. If you flip the reel to where the driveshaft faces upwards, there is a shift of something in the reel and it begins making noise. This is before the bearing, washers, drag dial, or handle are put on the reel. It seems as if adding those on makes the clicking worse. I'm not missing any parts, I watched multiple tutorials and looked at the user manual to make sure I'm putting it together properly to no avail. Everything is lubed and greased properly. The reel did not make this sound before.
