  2. Will my Garmin Striker 4 Plus overheat if I mount it with putty inside the hill of my kayak?

    I recently bought a Pelican Catch 100 and a Garmin Striker 4 plus. The previous owner already had the transducer mounted in the kayak hull. I saw something about transducers being able to overheat when not in the water. Will this be a problem with my Garmin? Also, might be a dumb question, but will the fish finder be able to read water temp if it’s in the kayak hull? And will it still detect fish and structure fine even though it’s inside the kayak? Thanks in advance
