  1. Brian 11719 I was also considering the St Croix Victory rod and the warranty alone may make the price well worth it. I tend to fish Kistler KLX and Chromium baitcaster rods, or a Falcon Cara, will the SCIII+ blank be on par with those rods by chance?
  2. I am looking for a rod that fish a 1/10 EWG Ned Rig with 2.75 Z-Man TRD Worm & Keitech 3.3 or 3.8 Fat Impact on an 3/16 Owner Flashy 3/0 hook. It would be nice to also throw an occasional light 1-3 ft or 2-5 ft crankbait or shallow jerk bait under 10ft. I will buy 2 rods if absolutely necessary. I am considering: 1. St Croix Premier 7' Med Light Fast 4-10 lbs line and 1/8-1/2 oz 2. St Croix Premier 7' Med Fast 6-12 lbs line and 1/4-5/8 oz 3. Falcon Lowrider 6'10" Medium Moderate 8/12 lbs. and 3/16-1/2 oz 4. Faclon Cara or St Croix Victory, but both of these are a little more of what I really want to spend on a spinning rod unless they are that much better. I intend to pair the rod with a Shimano NASCI 2500 or Daiwa Exceler LT 2500 (New Version) Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! I primarily use baitcaster rods and dont have my knowledge with spinning gear.
  3. Evening Gents! What’s your favorite: 1. Spinnerbait brand? 2. Trailer 3. Tips & Tricks 1. I prefer 1/2oz Santone & Nichols, but have considered using Wan-Wagle, but don’t know how I feel about the skirt and not being able to use a Trailer. 2 My go to trailers are Keitech Fat Impact My tip is that I reel, the stop, and pop the bait, then reel. I also jerk and lure, the reel the slack - like a lipless crank
  4. THANKS for all the opinions guys. I am going to purchase the Helium by Kistler since I am very satisfied with my KLX Kistler rods (landed 6 with the KLX flipping jigs last night) Thanks again everyone for your input!
  5. FIRST POST - Looking for all ideas. I am needing to buy a new flipping rod for 3/8 flipping jigs and football jigs. I normally fish jigs in water that is 15 foot or less. I use everything from SwimJigs, Flipping Jigs, and Footballs Jigs. I can use my Kisterl KLX rod that I throw Spinnerbaits on for Swim Jigs, but would like a dedicated rod for Flipping Jigs. I primarily use 3/8 flipping and football jigs. My flipping jigs normally have an Arlie Head and I use Santone Tungsten or Dirty Jigs. I use my flipping jigs where there is a lot of rock do my structure and drag / pop my jigs. I don’t normally pitch jigs, but cast to the bank and stage back to the boat. I also use Rage Crawl Trailer or a casting Jig with a Menace Grub. I currently fish these jigs on a Kistler KLX 7ft MH MF action with a Daiwa Tatula Elite 7:1.1 with 15 or 17 lbs flouro. I am looking to either purchase a 1. Kistler KLX MH/F in 7.0 ft (another rod) 2. Mega bass Levante Pitch perfect 7.2 ft 3. St Croix Champion 7.1 4. Dobyns i will use 15-17 lbs Flouro with either a Daiwa Tatula Elite or Shimano Cuardo MLX 150 Looking for help and ideas from you guys!
