  1. Will definitely be posting a newbie review on it haha; by the way, who is TT? I'd like to read the review on the rod
  2. I didn't want to take any chances and after looking around the forum and more reading, the tharp b-hittay rod seems to be exactly what I'm looking for, so I placed an order today. I'll probably keep the KVD rod just for crankbaits since most if not all of my crankbaits are within that range. The least thing I want to do is damage a rod, rather sell it off or use it for other techniques.
  3. So the rod is the Lew's KVD Composite; Below is the stats on it I guess my question is, should I just buy a different rod if I plan on throwing 3/8oz chatterbaits with trailers, or am I alright to use this rod for what I'm throwing? I'm about to pull the trigger on a Ark B-Hittay rod and just sell this rod if it may damage the rod throwing this size bait on there (it's meant for crankbaits it seems), and considering I got the reel and rod for under $120, I wouldn't mind doing that lol

  5. I am newish to fishing and recently purchased a KVD CC4 rod with a bc reel on FB Marketplace. I have recently fallen in love throwing chatterbaits with trailers, and read that the CC4 rod (made for medium cranking apparently) would be good for a blade jig rod as well. The rod is rated for 1/4-1/2 oz lures; today I went to my local pond, threw on a 3/8 oz chatterbait and a storm largo 3.5in and started casting. I noticed that the rod has a lot of bend to the top of it, like it's being loaded while casting. Am I overreacting or is my lure combo too heavy for the rod? I couldn't find what the actual plastic weighs unfortunately Thanks for any insight
