I'm trying to add grease to my reel but I obviously don't don't have the correct tool. I tried two different sets of alen wrenches with no luck. It's a shimano Stradic C14+ C3000HG-B. Looks like so..
Any ideas on what to use?
hmmm....maybe I should stick with Medium / fast.
Thinking about picking up an uglystik carbon. It's gotten some really good reviews from what I have seen.
Question for you guys. Do you think medium light / fast spinning rod to too light for larger bass? I'm going to use the rod that I started this topic for, for heavier lures. Medium heavy feels too heavy to me for finesse fishing. Don't know if I should go with medium or medium light.
Well fishing was terrible today and didn't catch anything so I can't say how well it handles in that regard. But it feels and cast decent. I kind of feel like it may be more rod than I need for most soft plastics like paddle tails.
I recently broke my spinning rod that I use for soft plastics. I replaced it with this 6'-6" medium heavy fast rod. Now I'm wondering if medium heavy is to much rod for finesse baits like paddle tails and other soft plastics.

I recently picked up a 6th Sense Provoke 106 and fished it a good bit with zero bites. So I did what I always do...I looked at youtube. I ran across a guy saying that rattles in jerkbaits will actually have the opposite effect in that it sometimes will scare the fish. He was saying that the fish will sometimes come up to the bait and just look at it and as soon as it hears rattling it will take off. Got me wondering if this could be the case in my area where the fish are pretty heavily pressured. If they are relating the rattle to the negative experience of being caught.
Thoughts?
I went to Inks Lake here in Texas over the weekend. They had, had a tournament earlier that day and there were 3 big dead bass floating at the boat ramp. Really aggravated me. And this is very different than your situation but this post reminded me of it.
