  4. Problem with baitcasting reel

    I have an older non magnetic BassPro bait casting reel. I am having a problem with its operation. Maybe in one out of 20 casts the reel will not engage when I'd turn the crank handle after I've finished a cast. I have to bang and fiddle with the reel to get it to engage. It would seem to me that something is not moving into the proper position since banging it (sometimes 4 or5 times) gets it working. Any help would be appreciated. If I need to take it apart, it is there a site that shows how? THANKS!
