  1. Fishing Line is rubbing along the rod between the 2nd and 3rd eyelet. When i have the pole bent or if a fish is hooked on and im reeling in..but the line is below the rod in between the 2nd and 3rd eyelet.

    Thanks everyone..It is a lower end ugly stik..bought it as a rod and reel combo for 80$ ..but i only bought it to try out a baitcaster, since I've never tried one before. So i didnt wanna spend a bunch of money..just wanted to play around and learn on it....haha..tried it out tonight..the first 20 cast as you all prob know..was absolutely terriable, withbthe bird nesting..hahaha..switch over to my spinning reel, for most of the day just wanted to catch somthing..but by the end of the night i started playing with it a lil and I kinda started figuring a few things out on the baitcaster..

    I just got back into fishing last summer..always used a spinning reel for most of my childhood..so I wanted to try out a bait caster..so I bought a ugly stik with a abu garcia reel combo from Dicks..just to play with and try out..I'm just new to it so I'm not sure if the line is supposed to be the way it is..it's 10lb mono..
