  2. Hello all, I recently installed a Garmin Striker 7 (side and clear VU) on a 1998 fiberglass skiff. After the install, I did a water trial and am less Than thrilled. The clear vu seemed to be okay, but the side vu is atrocious. I am unsure how to upload a picture I took of the reading. here’s some data. - unit is installed on the center console and powered by a battery located under the center console. The trolling motor is also powered by the same battery; however, the interference is occurring when the trolling motor is not in use. - the transducer runs to the back of the boat and passes by the cranking battery. This battery has an aerated and bilge pump. These are not in use in this scenario. The transducer is mounted on a mounting plate on the back of the boat and sits just under the bottom of the boat. the boat is flat on the bottom in this area. The ducer bracket is slightly above the bottom of the boat. the ducer generates a small amount of spray when running and shoots out the back and not upwards. - I tried to find some “fish attractors” placed by fish and game which are labeled by buoy. I had no luck. any assistance? thanks
