Wacky Rigged Senko Help?
Alright, I am new to this whole thing and could someone please explain to me the purpose of the O ring and how it is actually used? Do you slide the O ring down onto the worm and not put the hook through the worm at all? Im lost, a picture is worth a 1000 words, if anyone has one of this setup... Thanks

Walmart 1$ spinnerbaits
alright I saw this topic yesterday and was walking through wal-mart (not on a fishing gear buying trip mind you) and thought about this thread. I almost soley use strike kings, but probably have 3-4 that arent SK. Anyway, because of the thread i made my way to the fishing section and picked up a 1.00 spinner (and somehow ended up spending 19 more dollars on fishing gear, bait monkey...) and to be honest, as alot of others said, compared to the more expensive brands, it seems to be very cheaply made and does not like it will stand up to more than a few fish... Once i fish it, I will let you know how it goes.

what do you ugly stick haters use?
I dont HATE them either, because I do own one... I own a 7' MH Ugly Stick for chunk baiting for catfish only. For this I think they are great because I dont have to hold it all day nor do I have to actually "fish" with it. All I do is real it in after the cat takes off with my drag. On the other hand I use a Bionic Blade most of the time and will eventually own an Extreme also. I think they are both great rods, but will probably also buy another 7' Ugly stick for another cat rod. Overall, I dont HATE them, but would not want to use them for anything but catfish

SW Pennsylvania Thread
I currently go to school at California Univ of PA, right where 43 and 70 cross pretty much. Originally I am from shaler, right outside of pittsburgh. Up until this year I have been mainly a trout angler, but have been fishing in the monogahela because I cannot find any good trout creeks/streams around here (except pike run if you want to consider that good, i dont). I just bought a shimano sahara and bionic blade combo from BPS to get me started in the whole bass fishing direction. So far this season my largest has been a 22" hybrid striped (i believe thats the right species) out of the mon, i will post a pic when i get it developed. Anyway, where are the best places to fish for bass down this way? The mon hasnt been very good as of late... Thanks for the welcome, this seems like a great place!

Best value rod
depending on the money you want to spend, I honestly feel that ugly sticks are a very good value rod for the money. They are practically indestructible and have i think a 7 year warranty. For 39 bucks most places, you cant beat one...
