    Had the same problem as you on a Stradic FL. Only happens when you really try to whip the bait out - Otherwise the reels works flawlessly. I own cheaper and more expensive reels than that and none of the others have the same problem. Couldn't even explain it to the guys fixing my reel so I ended up getting rid of it. Would love to hear If you find a fix for this problem.
