Spool Play on 22 Bantam
It is not side to side, it is forward and back. It is not side to side, it is forward and back. I have the spool tension set to just have a tiny bit of side to side play

Spool Play on 22 Bantam
Hi all, I have a 22 bantam that I have used pretty lightly for about 2 months, and I have discovered some spool play back and forth on it. When the handle locked in place, the spool will wobble about a quarter of an inch back and forth. This causes all kinds of rattling sounds when reeling hard, and is really annoying. I didn't notice this when the reel was brand new. What could this be? Thanks!

Any rods with Fuji ACSM reel seat?
I actually have the kaden but I much prefer the acsm seat as the trigger is a lot closer to the reel

Any rods with Fuji ACSM reel seat?
really? Why did you think that? I love this reel seat because it is the one with the trigger closest to the reel and I feel like I can palm this one the best

Any rods with Fuji ACSM reel seat?
I have Piscifun Serpent rod with a Fuji ACSM reel seat, and found it to be the best palming seat I have ever used. I want to get more rods with this seat, but can't find any online. Are there any out there? Or any similar alternative reel seats? Thanks1

How to move trigger forward on a baitcasting rod for easier palming?
I have tried that, but palming with the other rod just feels so much more comfortable. I found out that it has the fuji acsm reel seat, but I can't find any info on other rods that have it. Would you have any idea?

How to move trigger forward on a baitcasting rod for easier palming?
I have small hands, and have trouble palming even a 70 sized baitcaster on most rods. But, I was digging through the garage and came across an old Piscifun Phantom rod that was super easy to palm for me, even on 150 sized reels. I compared it to my other rods, and realized that the trigger on the phantom is significantly more forward. As pictured, my Dobyns Kaden 765 flip vs Piscifun Phantom, the trigger is a good 1/2 - 3/4 inch back. Has anyone found a way to move their trigger forward? Thanks!

Finesse/Power BFS Setup
what type of rods/weight ratings are you using? I put 20 lbs mono backing and 30 meters of 15 lbs braid, but I'm getting a bunch of backlash and the distance is no more than 50 feet

Finesse/Power BFS Setup
Wow, thanks for the insight! Will definitely try out the mono backing. Have you ever casted to your backing? I feel like with the places I fish I rarely have to cast past 120 feet

Finesse/Power BFS Setup
Thanks for the reply! Would you say that using mono backing could make the spool similar to a shallow spool? I am mostly on a paddleboard or small boat so it would be more open water

Finesse/Power BFS Setup
I've recently been realizing that I am using lighter finesse techniques, mostly weightless senkos, trick worms, flukes, small frogs, and finesse chatterbaits/jigs. I am currently using a medium heavy rod rated 1/4 to 1-1/2 oz, and a SLX XT DC 71 with 30 lbs power pro, but I feel like I am loosing out on casting distance. I am thinking of getting a new medium light rod for those lures, and had a few questions. Will going to a smaller diameter braid help casting? I keep hearing people say braid less than 30# will dig in, but BFS guys regularly use 10-15 lbs stuff - how does that work? Should I fill the spool up with backing and only fill the last 40 yards with braid? Also, any particular rod recommendations? Thanks!
