  1. Thanks, I'll being keeping you in mind. I'm kind of stubborn so this probably won't be the last time I fix something!
  2. No not your bad. I think I forgot to say that when I could turn the main shaft I didn't have the side plate on so the AR wasn't touching any part of the shaft. Then when I thought (big mistake) it was working I put the side plate on and I suppose the Roller Clutch Inner Tube (#3474) engaged the AR and it wouldn't turn. At the time I never knew or thought there was an AR bearing. So a lot of my bad for not knowing what I was doing! Next time, think I'll do some research before taking things apart. Again, I really appreciate everyone offering suggestions.
  3. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions on my Shimano 200E problem. Florida Fishing Fool got me thinking about having the pinion gear (#3954) or yoke (#3495) in wrong. I did manage to get them in correct. What I eventually found the problem to be was that I had managed to put the Roller Clutch Bearing (#3947) in upside down, found out that it seems to be a One Way bearing, it only let's the handle and main shaft turn when reeling in. By accidentally pushing it out and not knowing it is directional I have spent most of 2 days wondering how I got so dumb! Again to everyone thank you for your help. Really glad I ran across this forum.
  4. Hi, I've made myself a problem, the cast tension on my Shimano 200E didn't seem to be working, no matter where I set it, there wasn't any difference when I engaged the reel to let a lure drop to the floor. Understood that I should be able to adjust it to slow the reel. After some fiddling around I thought I should take everything apart to clean and lube. That went from OK to bad to worse and now I'm stuck. Everything seems to be in the right place, I can turn the main shaft OK. When I put the side plate back on, everything freezes and I can't turn the shaft. If anyone has any ideas or hints to fix this I would really appreciate it. I did use the schematic so pretty sure parts are where they should be, but doesn't seem they are. Think I'll be looking for a reel repair guy if I can't get this figured out. Thanks in advance for looking at this.
