I’ve been shopping for a skipping rod. I thought I would buy a heavy / fast rod in the $100-$150 range so I could skip and throw heavier jigs in cover. There are several I’ve been considering — Falcon Lowrider, TFO Option Bass, Fenwick Eagle, Cashion Element Z2, and BPS Carbonlite. But I’ve seen the Abu Garcia Pro Series “on sale” on their site for $100. What is your opinion about these rigs, specifically the Shane LeHew skipping rod? Thanks

I'm very new to fishing. My son and I have a few rods/reels, but I'd like to try a Lew's baitcaster. I've narrowed it down to the KVD LFS and the Tournament MP Speed Spool LFS. I have found them both for $130. I can't figure out what the difference is between the two. The Tournament MP isn't on Lew's website anymore. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two, and do you have a recommendation as to which one to choose? If this matters to your answer, I plan to buy the 8.3:1 in either for a heavy/fast rod. Thanks!
