Why is this happening to my powder paint?
Thank y’all for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it. I’ll let you know if I can get this Green Pumpkin smooth. 👍

Why is this happening to my powder paint?
What count do y’all do for a 3/8 jig over a heat gun on high? I did 22 seconds but I’m thinking that may be too much for the green pumpkin.

Why is this happening to my powder paint?
I got the fire craw and green pumpkin in the same shipment from Barlow’s last week. The black/blue flake I have had for a bit but I store them inside together. I pour my own lead, these are all the same batch 3/8” and 1/2 oz. I use a heat gun on high to heat and hold it for about 20 -25 seconds. I use a fluid bed and it’s rolling nicely. I dip immediately out of the heat quickly once and tap off the excess. I then bake in a designated toaster oven at 350 for 20 minutes. I tried the green pumpkin at 300 for 20 mins also to see if it would help, it did not. Like I said, the black/blue flake and the fire craw come out very pretty but the green pumpkin is pock marked. I would fish them but I wouldn't give them to a friend and be proud of it. Thanks for any thoughts and replies.

Why is this happening to my powder paint?
Here is a picture of three of my jigs I painted yesterday. I did them all the exact same way with the exception of the color of paint. The black and blue and the fire craw came out great but the green pumpkin is blistering and dimpling almost like it has bad acne. I tried to make it a little thicker and I tried to cut down the temperature on the bake time, but it still happens. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Scotty Anchor Lock and Yak Attack Rivets?
The answer to this question is to check the grip range of the rivet. As long as you still meet the criteria with what you are putting it through, you will be fine. FYI- The YakAttack Tri-Fold Rivet has a grip range of .157 to .472 inches(approximately 1/6" to 15/32"), with a .187-inch diameter (3/16”)

Scotty Anchor Lock and Yak Attack Rivets?
To clarify, say on a flat pad eye base the rivet might stick through with 3” to flare out in the hull. Because of the thickness of the Scotty anchor base, it might stick through only 2”. Will it still flare correctly and hold?

Scotty Anchor Lock and Yak Attack Rivets?
I got a Scotty Anchor lock for Christmas and I’m trying to put it on my pelican bass raider. I have yak attack trifold rivets, but they don’t go all the way through because of the Scotty Anchor lock base. Will they still work, or do they have to be all the way flush? While I’m at it, I’m thinking of upgrading from a 3 pound fold out anchor to a 5 pound mushroom anchor. Do y’all think this will work better in a stiff wind? Thanks for the advice.

Livescope playback problem
I am using ActiveCaptain to record screen videos on my phone. When I go back later to watch it on my iPhone, the video will play for like 10 seconds or less and then it stops. I’m giving it time to load and I know the data is there because I can fast forward it with my finger and see everything. It would be nice to see it as it was recorded though. Has anyone else had this problem?

Moving bait color question
Mike, thank you for replying. Your answer makes sense. In my case, I’m looking at purchasing baits I have never owned before. For example the A-rig I mention. Almost everyone on YouTube talks about shad colors. I’m wondering should I pay the money for the first time for that or should I stick with the colors I know work for my other baits like Black/blue. Of course I have considered not even trying some of these baits but I can’t stand it, I gotta know if they’ll work. 😁 Thank you again.

Moving bait color question
Has anyone ever used colors like Black/Blue or Green Pumpkin for an A-rig? Does it work? My lake is very opaque.

Moving bait color question
Ok, I have figured out that Black/Blue is definitely the hot color in my home lake. My question is whether or not that is still a good choice for baits like Spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, small swimbaits for an A-rig and the minnows for a hover rig type bait. At my local stores these kind of baits are almost always centered around white, pearl and holographic colors. What do y’all think? Also, there is no shad to speak of in my lake but there are lots of bluegill and crappie. Thanks y’all.

Lead question for you jig makers.
I know you need to use clean lead for your jig molds. However, I am a metal detectorist and I would really like to repurpose some of these lead weights I find in the saltwater. Is there a way to purify these so they are acceptable to melt down for a jig mold. Thanks for your help.

Any tricks to determine size in Perspective mode?
I used Perspective mode for the first time and it’s awesome. However, if I set the range far enough out to see them before I’m right on top of them, the fish all look like tiny blips and I can’t tell size or species. I have a 106SV. Does anyone have any tricks? Thanks.
