  1. I have a 92 bass tracker and it does not have a rod locker...It has something you can slide rods up into but even my 6'8 rod will not slide up in there... My question is has any one ever ripped apart the front of a bass tracker and restructured it? I have tried pulling the carpet up a little bit to see how the structure is laid out but cannot see enough.... Does anyone know how I can find out how it is laid out? I am wanting to put a rod locker on the left side and move all the bait storage to the right side...
  2. Is all the bleach getting out completely every time you clean it?
  3. I just got done doing that to.... I used this aluminum acid based cleaner I got from a local Napa auto part dealer... It done an awesome job.... All you do is mix it with water spray it on and wash it off with a water hose.. After that I waxed it with Mothers brand aluminum wax and then buffed it with a buffer and polish pad... Man it looks almost brand new
  4. I was the same way until about 2 years ago.... I hated soft plastics.... Now some of my top bait are soft plastic including the horny toad....I have never really had a problem with the hook set ever since I went to the horny toad hooks... It has a screw on top the screws into the head and then I put the hook going into the bottom to the top, when it is out I bury the tip into the top of the frog just enough to make it weedless... That has worked for me best... I also use 50# Berkley power braid on a 6'6 heavy action rod with a 5600 Abu Garcia reel....
  5. I hardly ever fish a buzz bait anymore... I mainly fish the zoom horny toad and real it just fast enough for the legs to start kicking..... Awesome action and it can be fished sub surfaced also, or stopped and killed all of a sudden if you need to..... Put them on one of those toad hooks weedless and you got yourself one of the most versatile lures available.....
  6. O yeah they are slow.... I ordered some snake boots from them earlier this year and paid the extra $ to get them overnighted.... Everywhere else that I have gotten stuff overnight from sent it out next day because they put it at the 1st of the line in order of priority.. I ordered it on a Monday thinking I would have them at least by Thursday... Nope they arrived the next Monday
  7. I do not think they will hurt to use them.... Around here red is a productive color so I try to get a little red in everything... They especially like watermelon colors with red in them...
  8. Is it the price or is it the small size you are looking for.... If it is the price you can find some awesome aluminum bass boats out there for that money.... I looked and looked and finally found my 1st bass boat at a great price... It is a 17 ft. bass tracker with a 70 hp evinrude motor, 45 LB. trolling motor, 2 depth finders, and in great condition and paid $2300 for it....... I got it off of a local tournament fisherman that just wanted to get it out of his way since he just got a new 20 ft. ranger....Personally I just can't see paying that much for something like that when it doesn't even come with a motor... Just my opinion though.... If that is something like you are wanting though you can probably find a pretty good price on a used one if you looked around a little bit...
  9. How many miles per gallon should I be getting with a 17 1/2 ft. bass tracker with a 70 hp evinrude engine..... It is about 10 years old and I hardly ever run it wot... I usually run it anywhere from 25-30mph with 2 people,.....Is there any other info needed to find this out?
  10. I palm my reels... I can't hold it by the handle, it just doesn't feel right
  11. zoom big ol' worm in watermelon w/t red and black flakes are killer around here
  12. Well I believe it does it all for you.... If everyone's info is correct it should be a great tool... I forgot what all you can put into it as far as info but it is pretty in depth....
  13. Another thing you might want to consider is upgrading the trolling motor if it comes with anything less than a 40lb.
  14. What about that new thing that is suppose to be with that insider.... I saw it somewhere it might have been in bass master mag.....It was something that you can put all your fishing info in like a online log except everyone can view them and with so much data it can tell you what bass might be doing on a certain day... Has anyone tried that out?
  15. O yeah I have found that if you are burning it and it stops vibrating set the hook...
  16. I have added trailer hooks to all of mine.... I have seen a big jump in hook ups also..... I usually do not fish them a lot but when I do I do fairly well with them... The biggest I have caught on them is a 6lb Large Mouth.... Couple of weeks later at about the same spot I caught a 5 and a half pounder...... Both time I was burning them as fast as I could on a ABU STX-HI..... I have caught fish that way and also fishing them a little slower... Kinda of like a jig but the only time I let it hit bottom is on the cast.. After that I let it sit for about 10 sec, then I reel up slack and give it a tap, tap, tap, then real in slack and repeat until out of the strike zone... Those are the 2 ways that have worked the best for me...
  17. Wow!! that is a good deal... My local wally world doesn't have them :'( ..... I have been looking for one to because I cannot stand wearing the other one's.... Especially on a hot summer day
  18. I think it will serve it's purpose until you become confident in some baits, then the pole/reel monkey will show up...... ;D
  19. Personally I would say yes until you know you are going to stick with it which you probably will since you have fishing experience...... What kind of reel did you get to go on it? I really do not like cajun line but some people do.... I am a fan of sten if I am going to go with braid and suffix elite if I am going with mono or fluorocarbon....
  20. Try the Mann's Baby -1.... They run 12" or shallower and have great action.... I tear them up in March and April with these things... You can purchase them at Wal-Mart or any local tackle shop should have them.... http://www.***.com/descpageMANNCRANK-MB1.html
  21. As it takes only one ear to hear also....
  22. I have done that before to, only not with the same bait.... 1st I was using a red and black flake power worm.... A fish took the worm and got wrapped around a tree and it broke my line.. About 20 minutes later I was using a spinner bait and caught the same fish with worm, hook, and line still attached...
  23. I bet that thing costs a pretty penny to!!!!!!
