  1. It's not my cat...just a funny pic i found on the interweb ;D
  2. I caught both today on a senko ;D....along with 5 bass. Nothing was biting no matter what i used so i figured i'd give the senko's a try that were buried at the bottom of my box. The water i was fishing in was about 2 feet at the most. I started skipping the senko on top when i saw a splash...i let it sink a little and when i felt a tug i started reeling and a giant frog had the whole thing in his mouth I also had a water snake latch on to the end of the worm and he wouldn't let go until i got a few inches from shore. Weird day...
  3. lol. I don't know why i typed "dynomag". It is a DynaMag magnetic cast control 310 baitcasting reel. It's been sitting in the box it came in for years...i'm not sure what rod and size line to pair with it since i can't find any info on it.
  4. I can't find any info on this reel, it's my grandfathers and he never used it...dosn't have line on it or anything. My father and i want to get him a good rod for it for fathers day. We're not sure what kind to get or what size line to put on it since we can't find any info on this reel. Any help will be much appreciated. 8-)
  5. Thanks for the tips 8-) Now if i can only put down the buzz and spinnerbaits for a bit i might just catch bigger fish ;D
  6. I pretty much know how to setup a T-rig.....i'm just not sure how to fish it or how to set the hook. I've fished with mostly spinners and buzzbaits so fishing with soft plastics is all new to me :-?
  7. I've never fished a T-rig before :-[ Basically, what techniques work best? Also, i'm not sure how to go about setting the hook.
  8. Thanks for the advise everyone.
  9. I'm really not having much backlash problems with 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 lures....just anything lighter than that seems to backlash on me :-/
  10. Hey everyone. I just bought a Shimano callisto baitcasting combo (my first baitcaster) and love it. I have it rigged with 12lb Trilene XT and use it for spinners, buzzbaits and crankbaits. The problem is, I can only use heavy lures with it...anything else and i get backlash/over runs (maybe this is normal but i don't know...this IS my first baitcaster). Maybe lighter line would help? :-? I have a Quantum Ignition combo rigged with 6lb Trilene XL that i use for small spinners, buzzbaits, crankbaits (1/8oz mostly) and weightless plastics. What would be a decent setup to look into next? I'd like something a little lighter than the Shimano but a little heavier than the Quantum. ;D Also, feel free to comment on my current setup and maybe give some pointers on which lines to use.
