Even better because last two time i was here during the dry day i got skunked

Adaptation to freshwater? Are you saying their home range is anything but freshwater? Piranhas would never be able to survive our colder months. Anything below 68 and they will start to die. Some states ban them others don't, VA is just one of the states that does.

There is a ramp, but you must register your boat with the Montclair Association there to be able to have it on the water and no boats over 18" allowed. I didnt see anything about a horsepower rating though but needless to say you wont be able to use your boat there But you might be able to catch them from the park and dam side, Dan and myself werent able to but conditions were less than perfect that day. Water is really clear and the dam drops off pretty fast to over 6 feet. In the warmer months Id imagine its a pretty good fishery. Fish species include Largemouth bass Crappie Yellow perch Pickerel Bluegills Channel Cats Brown Bullheads Hope that helps
