we did ok, we went an fished the spoils area by the bridge, that place was thick, full of big fish according to the garmin.Only able to pull 3 out though, but I would deff like to go back there soon. It looks like an awesome place to fish. lots of submerged structure everywhere

where you're fishing right there at high is great for a walk the dog type lure or a frog since you can get way in that slop. Were you out today right before dusk? I think we saw you while heading into the creek on the black/gray express

You know, I honestly think it reads low but I took a 5lb weight and hung it on there. It read 4.99...Maybe it only reads low for fish? Ya know what? I actually just put a 5 lb weight on my scale and it read a little under 5 lb..... I'm starting to be confused The mystery only deepens!

My first fish of the day and Dan finally got to check SH off his to catch list the boat is nothing fancy, just a Jon boat for 3, let me know if you might be interested in heading out today

I've caught a couple large bullfrogs on weedless lure by accident, just chucked them back out and waited for the inevitable ;D

unless your're fishing deep and need the extra stretch for something like walleye i dont thing we need flouro or mono on our reels, imo braided is good for most of the applications around here

what are you throwing? I can tell you that spro frogs or similar work the best for me

Well its hard to gauge the fight since we are catching them out of the slop right now but in open water the snakhead is a much gamier fish and puts up more of a fight than a bass. They are more likely to launch themselves clear out of the water also. I've have some get close to if not 3 feet out. It's also a size thing, the chances of you catching a 5lb+ SH compared to a bass is alot more favorable. That is if you can catcvh SH's pretty frequently. You need to find out the pattern in your area. I'd give up mine but I dont want people overfishing my neck of the woods. : And that bass read 7 on a spring scale but 5.5 on a digital....I'll average it and say it was a 6 lol We deff need to go out again when its not so d**n windy guys, it was alot of fun today, best part for me had to be the "Mr. beats a fish on the head paddle guy"!

they should be fine, you'll actually see that they will hybridlize quite easily with other lepomis species and tilapia wont survive the cold weather we have up here

I think I saw you out there today were you fishing near mount vernon estates with another buddy? if so the other boat out there was me got a couple nice 3+ bass out there and a 10+ snakehead in the creek, had another hit my frog 4 times before calling it quits and moving on check out the size of its head in the second picture
