chatterbait frog?

Featured Replies

I picked up a chatterbait frog today and wanted to know if anyone has tried one yet. If you have how do you work it and what do you think of them?

I have not used the Chatter-frog but have looked at them in the store. I fish the Chatterbait alot and have landed many nice bass with them. IMHO I think the action of the Chatterbait is what the Bass like. The chatter-frog looks to me like it should have the same action. If I want to change the action I change the trailer or remove the skirt. The chatter-frog did give me the idea to remove the skirt and trailer and replace it with a plastic frog such as the horny toad.

I just picked one up. I fished it a few feet off the bank, keeping it about 2ft deep. It worked good, cought a few nice fish. I did change the trailer to a trimmed down red Baby Brush Hog.

Good to know about trimming the brush hog; just got one myself but haven't had the chance to fish with it yet.
