Rigging My Canoe Up

Featured Replies

I went out today and fished live shiners. We cast netted 5 or 6 wild shiners and tossed them in a bucket with a bubble box. We were in a 16.5 ft coleman plastic canoe, and having the bare bucket was very annoying with it sliding, splashing, etc. I want to put a live well on it along with some tackle holders. I need ideas on the live well container and tackle container. Any comments greatly appreciated. Thanks, BB

how about a tow behind container, something with a lid and holes in it for water flow, for the minnows? A smaller backpack type tackle holder will keep your stuff off the bottom of the canoe, that will always collect some water on it. Try not to bring any stuff you really don't need. Easier said than done. :-)
