  1. Take it day by day. Learn the area and try everything, crankbaits, wacky rigged senkos, craw fish, jigs, etc. Look for hints in the water like rocky bottom or old cypress tree in the water. I fish my local lake every weekend and always try new spots and learn more. Just keep trying. BB
  2. I went out today and fished live shiners. We cast netted 5 or 6 wild shiners and tossed them in a bucket with a bubble box. We were in a 16.5 ft coleman plastic canoe, and having the bare bucket was very annoying with it sliding, splashing, etc. I want to put a live well on it along with some tackle holders. I need ideas on the live well container and tackle container. Any comments greatly appreciated. Thanks, BB
  3. I went out yesterday and "left it all at home" well, since im a beginning angler, my knot slipped on my jig and the next thing i know its 40ft out and gone! Any recommendations on knots?
  4. I went out today and choked a largemouth with a craw. I couldnt get it out and its happened a couple times now. Is their a better way to try and get it out?
  5. I've been fishing crank baits and having great success, although with craws i've been "chocking" them. They swallow the craw and hook completely and it gets caught inside their throat. I've tried and tried to retrieve the hook. Any suggestions on how I can retrieve the hooks, thanks, Bassboy
  6. I've been fishing my local lake from my canoe and from shore, I havent noticed many branches or rocky areas. I have been wondering if I should start putting some branch structures along the drop off or larger rocks. Any comments are greatly appreciated, thanks.
  7. Thanks guys. went out today and caught myself 4 largemouth with a rapala shad. Had a great time, this is defiantly my sport
