Good Colors For Texas???

Featured Replies

I'm putting together a jig package for a tournament in Texas and would like to know what are the best colors for the majority of the lakes in the state.

Thanks.

offshore structure fishing keep it simple.. black and blue, black and red, green pumpkin, brown. Now thats not the only colors i throw but for the most part those will serve you well

If you are going to be fishing jigs around shallow cover then you should have the colors i mentioned above and you need to add some blue gill and shad colors. This is just a guide line but if you are just going to be down here for a tournament then those colors will get the job done. Also i would suggest taking a look at northstar jigs they are outstanding jigs!!!!! They're the only jigs i use now.

TBendBassin is right on, take it to the bank!!!!!!
