Jet Boat Help!

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm looking to buy a bigger jet boat. I live in central PA and on average the water levels are pretty low. I have been looking at a 2004 bass tracker with a 175hp inboard jet. Unfortunately through some research I have heard that they are not as preferred as an outboard. Just looking for some advice on which kind of jet boat to buy. I have a budget of about 11,000 dollars. Thanks!

Most of the guys here where i live on the James River have outboard jets and seem to very do well! There is a guy who builds them locally maybe you could call him and get some suggestions as its all he does is jet boats!! He does some amazing work, the boats he builds go in just inches of water. Check out his site and maybe give him a ring with some of your questions...

Riverpro if you are going to go inboard, otherwise look for a used Rock Proof, James River Jet, or Snyder if you could find one. I would stay away from any of the massed produced hulls that they have stucka jet on, especially anything from Tracker, there hulls do not hav ethick enough metal to survive an encounter with any rocks, the others mentioned are made to run over stuff and not take damage.
