Reel Question ( Need Quick Replies )

Featured Replies

I have a dozen Daiwa Strikeforce reels, if I take one or two out on the Chesapeake for a day, all I have to do is really clean all the parts and everything right? Or will it permanently damage my reel? Basically can you use a freshwater reel in brackish water without ruining it aslong as you clean it afterwords?

Rinse it thoroughly under clear running water immediately upon return or after use. Lay them out to dry completely and you should be fine. If this is a regular thing I suggest having them deep cleaned more than once a year just to be safe

Thanks DVT! :)
