I was killing time last week waiting on a friend and happened to stop by Gander Mountain. I saw the Quantum Smoke 150 HPT and as soon as I had it in my hand I knew I was gonna buy it.

After four solid days of use, my opinion is that it is an incredible tool and probably worth the money.

The positive things I can say is that it spools out fast, it is smooth casting, has an incredibly quick retreive (7.3 to 1) and has a large drag handle.

I think the handle is a bit undersized. I have a carbon fiber handle from HawgTech on the way that should complete the reel nicely.

I'am looking forward to putting some pressure on the reel with a big o bass to see how the drag performs.

I have one that's 3 months old if you want to trade something for it.
