Spool Tension Or Magnet Tension?

Start with a completely loose spool with the magnet set all the way off. You to tighten it up a bit...so which one do you start with? The tension knob or the magnet?

    Tension. I personally never use the magnets though. My one reel that has them I really just don't like, I prefer my Shimanos which don't have magnets.
